I started to build my Tribute to Finley Edwards today. 17 stillborn and newborn babies die daily in the UK Sands is an organisation which can offer you support when your baby dies during pregnancy or after birth. The death of a baby is a devastating experience. The effects of grief can be overwhelming and parents, their families and friends can be left feeling dazed, disorientated, isolated and exhausted. It can be hard to take in information, to make decisions or to imagine how you are going to cope. OC is sadly what my baby died of. Obstetric cholestasis (OC) is a liver disorder which occurs during pregnancy, and which has been known to be diagnosed at any time from 8 weeks onwards. It is also referred to as intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP). It affects 1 in 140 pregnant women each year in the UK, but may be slightly more common in women of Asian origin. The causes of OC are not yet fully understood. people NEED to be made more aware of OC and more research done so we can help save unborn babies lifes!!
